GOAL: Increase our Global

Community Engagement

Index to > 90

In 2014, our Community Engagement

Index reached 96 due to the hard

work of our employees. In 2015, some

activities were reduced to control costs.

GOAL: 50% of R&D

spend focused on

new solutions

that positively impact the global

challenges. Success on this goal

indicates that FMC is developing

products that ensure more sustainable

options for our customers.

*TRIR is a common metric for reporting safety performance in manufacturing.

OUR FORMULA FOR PROGRESS

In 2012, we established our first set of long-term sustainability goals in safety, R&D and community

engagement. As we reflect on those goals, we have achieved significant progress while learning how

FMC can directly contribute to a more sustainable future. Our people are safer, our research pipeline is

generating products that address the global challenges, and we are engaged with our communities.

Recordable Incident Rate

(TRIR)* to < 0.37

when compared to 2011. In 2015, our

injury rate remained flat compared

to 2014 despite major changes of

acquiring Cheminova. Organizational

changes can distract employees which

can lead to more injuries.
